in the very centre of Dublin, excellent location, huge bed, good for business travelers

first they put us in one of the old rooms, only when we specifically requested to be put in a refurbished room did they move us. The room we got was extremely cold, it took 2 days to get warmer, and it was end of May! There was no fridge in the room, unfortunate for us, as we had some medicine that had to be kept cold. We kept it in the hotel kitchen instead, very inconvenient to get it in the middle of the night ...no bathtube, we couldnt bathe our little son. I would not say it is really a 4 star hotel, looked more like 3 star. Not very good cleanliness.

    Good

All staff very friendly, polite and efficient, location good as we were working only 10 minutes away - but also good for central Dublin.

Rooms have seen better days and the hotel has a slightly jaded feel. Having to pay for wi-fi access having paid £125 for the room seems a bit out of order!

    Superb

Friendliness of staff.Aureiole and Eric excellent.Confusion with make up my room.central location.

Heat of the rooms. Lack of full meal service

  • 6.2
    Good

Coming regularly to this hotel due to business, like the location and like the hotel flair as such, bar, ....

Room maintenance needs to be enhanced, showers are not inviting (tiles...) wallpaper could be fixed, aircondition is to be fixed....rooms could be better with so little efforts. Furthermore, it should be a default to register a "client profile" for those business travlers that are staying frequently at the hotel.

    Good

The receptionist when checking in and out was very abrupt and not paying attention to what she was saying (autopilot) as she asked us how are stay was more than once. The rest of the staff however were fine. There was also a very limited roomservice menu after 9.30 which was disappointing.

    Fabulous

Our room was exceptionally quiet which guaranteed a great nights sleep.Bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean and spacious.

No, there was nothing we did not like about this particular hotel.

    Superb

The room was very clean and decorated nicely. The location was fantastic and the staff were helpful. I definitely would recommend a family to stay there. It was a very good sign to see flight attendants and pilots were staying at this hotel.

Well the only reason I didn't give an excellent for staff was because one male employee seemed a bit bothered by helping, while others had their professional faces on.The others employees were above par. I understand how hard it is dealing with the public and especially foreigners who may not have an understanding of the area or the way things run in a new area. Other than that our electronic keys kept dying and they had to replace the battery on our lock. They were very nice about it all.It was a mild annoyance.

    Fabulous

Bright, well lit room, friendly staff, good breakfast.

The inn boasts a date of 1691, but it is hard to know what remains of this. No mixer taps in the sink, so the warning 'Hot Water!' should be studied with care. The car park is small and we were only able to leave our car there overnight because a staff member kindly offered to move hers. In the high seasson, it would have been very difficult to park.

    Fabulous

The hotel is really near to the city center. Grafton street is not more than 200 meters away from the hotel. The employees were always helpful and friendly. Food in the bar was delicious even when you come home late at night or in the morning. ;-)

My room was at the first floor and you hear the traffic from outside the street very well. But thats always a negative aspect when you chose a hotel in the city center. Next time i try to get a room on the fourth floor with the window to the backyard.

The hotel was ideally situated in the great shopping area of Dublin. The hotel was a delight to stay in with the friendly staff and the warm surroundings

    Superb

The hotel is going through a period of modernisation and having read reviews here and elsewhere I stayed in the refurbished wing. A very comfortable hotel which I would recommend to anyone. Just 2 minutes from Grafton Street's shops and 10 minutes walk to the Temple Bar area with it's excellent bars pubs and restaurants.

    Good

the room was large and in good taste, breakfast ok.

A most dull, uninteresting hotel. there is no effort on the part of anybody to make this hotel a lived in place! the same fault as in the other two O Callaghan Hotels I stayed in. Staff is most uninvolved and uncaring.

Was so disappointed, especially with the hygiene and checkin. I was directed to a room which already had someone in it.

Just would not stay again, ever.
